Rolling Dice

When you Make a Move take up dice; you'll roll 4dF to be precise. In most cases, you'll add the value of the Style in which you're making the Move. Also, The Move may instruct you to modify the roll in some way.

A Mediocre(-1) or worse result is a miss. The Move may indicate an outcome, or a choice of outcomes; if not, the Proctor will determine the outcome and may make a Move in response.

A Average(0) or Fair(+1) result is a conditional success. The Move may present you with a hard choice to secure success, or grant you success with complications or at a cost.

A Good(+2) or better resultis an outright success. The Move may suggest how that success takes form.
