Butter Tart Squares

Ingredients

Base
1 1/2 cup Butter, softened
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
2 cups Flour
Filling
2/3 cup Butter
2 cups Brown Sugar
2 1/2 Tbsp Flour
2 ea. Eggs, beaten
4 Tbsp Milk
1 Tsp Vanilla

Preparation

Prepare Base
  1. Cream butter and sugar, then mix in the flour.
  2. Pat mixture down in a 9“ square cake pan.
  3. Bake in 350° oven for 15 minutes.
  4. Let cool.
Prepare Filling
  1. Cream together butter, sugar, and flour.
  2. Add eggs, milk, and vanilla; mix thoroughly.
  3. Pour on top of base.
  4. Bake in 350° oven for 30-35 minutes.
  5. Let cool to room temperature then cut into squares.
